The College of Surgeons of East Central and Southern Africa (COSECSA) and The Namibian Surgical Society (NSS) in conjunction with the Ministry of Health and Social Service and the University of Namibia, invites you to the 22nd COSECSA and NSS events, Graduation and Scientific Conference

Elaborate on the theme: what is current challenges (Trauma, cancer management, surgical infections, Anaesthesia) and what is emerging surgical challenges (Prof. Makasa – Global Surgery expert) (Timely access to access safe surgery, Access to minimal access surgery, UHC – Ministry of Health, affordability. International Federation of Surgical Colleges – The President, Catheren Chu, WISA

History of Namibia with COSECSA

Namibia is one of the 14 COSECSA Member countries. Namibia officially joined COSECSA in 2016 and has been an active member country ith the following activities been conducted.
  1. Namibia hosted the half-council meeting held in 2017.
  2. Namibia has 5 Accredited Hospitals.
  3. Namibia has a total of 13 Fellows whose 4 of them are Fellows by Examination.
  4. Namibia has a total of 22 surgeons who are on training currently.
