Call for Applications: SSO International Career Development Exchange Program 2025–2026

COSECSA, in collaboration with the Society of Surgical Oncology (SSO), is pleased to announce a unique opportunity for COSECSA Fellows, Senior Trainees (FCS level), and Faculty interested in Surgical Oncology. One spot is available for a candidate to participate in the prestigious 2026 International Career Development Exchange (ICDE) Program.

This program supports early-career surgical oncologists with leadership potential by providing one-on-one mentorship and professional development through:

  • Complimentary registration to SSO 2026 in Phoenix, Arizona, USA

  • A 5-day clinical observership at a U.S.-based institution

  • A $3,000 travel stipend

  • One-year complimentary SSO membership

Application Requirements:

  • Letter of Intent

  • Brief CV (max 3 pages) highlighting clinical or research work in surgical oncology

  • Letter of support from your home institution

Eligibility Highlights:

  • Must be 45 years or younger

  • Must have a strong command of English

  • Must be employed in your home country

  • Must hold a valid passport and be able to obtain a U.S. visa (if applicable)

  • Must not have previously participated in the ICDE or Career Catalyst Mentorship Program
