COSECSA, in collaboration with the British Journal of Surgery Society, is pleased to announce the call for submissions for the 2025 COSECSA-BJS Best Scientific Paper Prize.
A prize of €500 will be awarded to the best full scientific paper submitted. The winner will be announced at the 25th COSECSA Annual Scientific Conference, taking place from 4–5 December 2025 in Bujumbura, Burundi.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to submit a full paper to the BJS for editorial review and potential publication.
Eligibility
Applicants must be:

A registered COSECSA Trainee or COSECSA Fellow in good standing

Have an abstract accepted for presentation at the 25th COSECSA Annual Scientific Conference

Able to travel to Bujumbura, Burundi to deliver their presentation
