The Certificate in Laparoscopic Surgery (CLS) is a six-month training programme delivered by the University of Zimbabwe International Centre for Surgical Simulation and the Society of Surgical Simulation, in collaboration with the College of Surgeons of East, Central and Southern Africa (COSECSA).
The programme is designed to develop core and advanced laparoscopic skills through structured, proficiency-based training. Certification is awarded upon successful completion of the MQC assessment, with skills evaluated using GOALS and OSATS frameworks.
