COSECSA, in collaboration with the British Journal of Surgery (BJS), is pleased to invite submissions for the 2026 COSECSA-BJS Best Scientific Paper Prize.
This award recognizes outstanding surgical research and scientific writing by COSECSA trainees and Fellows. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to submit a full manuscript to BJS for editorial review and potential publication.
The winner will receive a prize of €500 during the 26th COSECSA Annual Scientific Conference in Lilongwe, Malawi, on 3–4 December 2026.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be a registered COSECSA trainee or a COSECSA Fellow in good standing.
- Have an abstract accepted for presentation at the 26th COSECSA Annual Scientific Conference.
- Be able to travel to Lilongwe, Malawi, to deliver the presentation.
