COSECSA will host the Trauma Resuscitation in Kids (TRIK) course as a post-conference workshop on December 5-6, 2026, at Kamuzu Central Hospital Surgical Annex in Lilongwe, Malawi. Widely regarded as the world’s leading pediatric trauma course, TRIK equips surgeons and clinicians with practical, hands-on skills for managing traumatic injuries in children.
The course will be led by faculty from Kenya and Burundi, alongside course facilitators Dr. Sherif Emil of McGill University (Montreal, Canada) and Dr. Fabio Botelho of the University of Toronto (Toronto, Canada).
TRIK is internationally accredited by the Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians and supported by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, in partnership with the Surgical Association of Malawi.
Registration closes November 8, and slots are limited , interested participants are encouraged to register early.
